Competence
The concentration on R&T for the Bundeswehr in our scientific domain represents our core competence and is an unique feature.
In detail our excellence lies in the following fields:
- Analysis, modelling and evaluation of military data structures and processes
- Distributed data processing in heterogeneous systems (interoperability)
- Information and knowledge management
- Communication in heterogeneous networks
- Analysis and evaluation of sensor data (multi-sensor technology, data fusion)
- Ergonomics (human factors)
We work on the system level and at all spots of the processing chain. We collect data in the context of signal reconnaissance, we provide efficient and secure data transmission, we ensure data consistency during data dissemination, we process data in order to generate situation pictures (COP) including complex data fusion and speech processing techniques, we examine representation facilities, which are effective under difficult operating conditions also - recapitulating: we support the soldier in the fast and safe decision making process.
Thus, our excellence is the integrative research of particular aspects and aspects of the entire system.
